This homeowner contacted us to remove an existing crumbling retaining wall and replace it with a new Unilock retaining wall system. During the excavation process we uncovered a massive boulder of extremely hard costal granite that prevented us from reaching the depth spec’d out by the engineer.

We sought the expertise of a company located on the RI/CT boarder as to how to deal with this issue as efficiently as possible. After conferring with the engineer, landscaper and rock splitter, we were able to devise a speedy and cost-effective way to handle this problem. We drilled countless core holes and split with a hydraulic spreader and hauled the debris away. This customer was beaming with joy after she returned from vacation and was able to inspect the final project.
